Distinctions in photography may mean something to others, or nothing to the rest. But distinctions are important, it makes you work towards a portfolio, a gauge of how far you have improved in your work as photographers and a purpose in your photography. It encourages you and realizes your inner creativity, and directly, you mature and grow in your photography.

Distinctions do not make you the best photographer, but what it does is to realize your capabilities and makes you further your photography in areas that you want, that you feel, that you wish to express.
The Myanmar Experience
(Contains 44 photos)
Myanmar was and will remain an extraordinary experience that I will carry within my heart till the end of time. When I was there for 11 days, there was almost nothing in my mind, except a sense of longing and an aura of contentment. Being one with the people makes me feel how lucky I am, or how unlucky, for lucky knowing we have the things that not many people have...and unlucky for not appreciating the gifts of nature and taking things for granted most of the time.

This gallery is dedicated to the people of Myanmar...for who they are, for what they stand for, for showing me the simplicity of life...
The Chinese Opera - A Documentary
(Contains 25 photos)
The Chinese Opera, rich in tradition and steep in historical values, remain an iconic part of the Chinese community throughout the world. It's origin remains deeply entrenched in the mysterious and seductive art and culture of the Chinese people. With rapid modernization, will this be the final curtain?

Taken in three evenings, these images show the life of the performers, still passionate as they were before, never waning in self expression and not to be made a part of history by the modern world.

Living a life of pure simplicity and showing me that not much is needed in our transient existence in this world, the Bajau descendants of Semporna, located in Sabah, have no needs for much materialism, and one need not go too far in search of pure contentment, inner spiritual developments and knowing how to live in the boundaries of the present...the past forgotten and the future not to be pondered.
Portraits Portraits

I love photographing people, capturing the moment and the mood that presides it, and accompanies it, much like our own shadow. People photography is about mood, feel and moment...it is a connection of the people through the lenses to you, and it is there only for a flicker of a moment.
The Mt Bromo Sojourn
(Contains 33 photos)
I was elated when I was asked to join Harry, a good friend, for a photographic sojourn to Mt Bromo, Surabaya. I agreed immediately, knowing deep in my heart that what lies ahead will remain forever within my soul.

For five days and four nights, we were awed and captivated by what Mt Bromo and the city of Surabaya has. The vast cloudscape in the early dawn, the spiritual aura of the mountains being enhanced by the divine rays of the morning sun, the steep traditions and culture of the people and their colourful attires...all these and much more, giving peace, tranquility and a deep sense of connection to the creations of God.
Travel Travel

Travel enriches one's life, giving new perspective to how we see the world, as opposed to the shell that we are all in most of the time.

These are some of my travel photos, photos that are not necessarily beautiful photos, but photos that are visualized through my eyes, from within my soul, the way I see them.

Black & White Images

B&W images have always fascinated me, for by taking away the "distractions" of colors, you appreciate the inner essence of the image and its simplicity to inspire. It will, for now and always, remain a special part of my photography.
